Japanese brand Onitsuka Tiger is well known among fashion circles thanks to its iconic Mexico striped sneaker, which is loved by celebrities like Bella Hadid, Kaia Gerber and of course Uma Thurman, who donned a pair in Tarantino’s legendary 2003 film, Kill Bill. More recently the brand has started to make headlines with its ever-growing ready-to-wear collections that blend its sportswear heritage with a youthful, genderless approach.

Unveiled recently at Milan Fashion Week, the spring/summer 2026 collection – titled Urban Fantasy – is sure to appeal to the cool crowd. Every look invites its wearer to express their own style and personality, with versatile items such as vintage-inspired crinkled shirts and blouses, dresses imagined from bodysuits, voluminous culottes, and knitted tops and shorts.

Outerwear plays a starring role, with contemporary essentials such as crisp parkas, cropped ruffled-waist trucker jackets, oversized leather biker jackets and suede varsity-style blazers. Oversized reversible sweatshirts and hoodies feature rose and daisy prints in a pink palette reminiscent of the 1980s for a cool and easy look. Track tops are worn layered over slim-silhouette trenches and field jackets for a touch of elegance. Streetwear fans will also love the brand’s signature tracksuit, which is updated with a slimmer silhouette, and styled with a lingerie-style top, a masculine blazer and stylish heels.

There are plenty of stand-outs for men as well, including tailored jackets paired with vintage-style running shorts for a cool-meets-sporty style. Other must-haves include single- or double-breasted jackets, wide-legged trousers and waistcoats in a vibrant mix of colours.

Footwear also takes pride of place, true to the brand’s origins. Satin ballet shoes are a feminine tribute to the Mexico 66 sneaker, while other highlights include fringed riding boots and soft suede sandals. Other must-have accessories for spring include the canvas Tiger tote featuring graffiti or floral prints and the super soft leather Karate bag, which comes plain or decorated with studs.

Also making its debut is a collection of limited edition accessories made in collaboration with luxury jeweller and pearl specialist Mikimoto. The style set will be clamouring for the black chain necklace featuring distinctive baroque pearls in a brilliant golden hue – a stylish homage to Onitsuka’s signature yellow.
