As a nature lover, I enjoy spending my free time outdoors. Three seasons are easy to maneuver in the great outdoors — and then there’s winter. During the year’s last few months, I rely on heated clothing to ensure I stay comfortable while camping, hiking, and horseback riding during the cold “burr” months of November and December.
Heated clothes are typically controlled by easy-to-use phone apps that let you dial up the heat with a button; they can even provide more warmth than traditional winter clothes like wool socks and beanies.
While I love my electric heated socks and vest for camping and hiking trips, this year I plan to expand my snuggly clothing collection to include a heated hooded jacket and maybe even a pair of heated pants. I plan to visit Tennessee and will be packing these ‘hot’ items when I go. Since I don’t manage well in cold temps, having as many different clothing pieces providing heat to my skin is a lovely idea.
Many of the 15 heated items that landed on my list would be ideal for a day on the slopes, some trail riding, or any outdoor activity that might be on your radar this winter.
Venustas Women’s Heated Hooded Jacket
This windproof, electric, insulated coat blocks the coldest temperatures from seeping in. With a heat time of just seconds and a runtime of up to ten hours, this jacket is one I plan to order soon. An extra perk? Thanks to the battery’s USB port, cell phones can be fast-charged while in the pocket.
Fieldsheer Backcountry Women’s Electric Heated Vest
This vest would likely be a great addition to any ski trip, hike, or other winter activity.
