Appearing on “Monday Mo Patere Iki” (Partere on Monday), GG Sato, the fashionable leader of the baseball world, talks about his fashion sense.

–The weather is getting hotter and we’re starting to get sweaty during the day. GG-san, what’s your fashion theme for today?

I’m really confident about my fashion today. The theme is “sporty and casual.” I designed the outfit around this white cotton shirt.

–It’s perfect for early summer, when there are still large temperature differences between day and night. What are the key points to wearing it?

It’s creepy season!! The key points of today’s outfit are unifying the outfit with white and light grey items, using the grey rib (hem) of the jacket and the grey of the pants to create contrast, and changing the texture and feel of the items. The pants are smart slacks, the cotton shirt looks soft but not too casual, the outerwear has a crisp feel, and the shoes are the white Converse All Stars that I mentioned last time. This outfit matches my mood right now, and I really like it. I also like the style of taking off the jacket and rolling up the shirt sleeves.

–It gives off a casual vibe. Did you also leave two buttons of your shirt open with that in mind?

Well, it’s embarrassing to hear that suddenly (I button up one button). But, I want to wear a lot of white shirts this early summer, and I’ve been thinking about what kind of style would be “popular with girls” (laughs).

–I’ve always thought that the length of your pants is just right. If they were too baggy, they would look unfashionable, but these pants are somehow light.

That’s right, light and airy. This is my favorite pants look. Dressy pants with a casual top. Of course, the opposite is also true, but I like the mix style of “dressy x casual” the most.

–It was great again this time. How about a “stadium viewing style” next time?
