When it comes to two-time Olympian Jordan Chiles, expect 10s on the floor routine and the red carpet—or, in the case of InStyle x Delta’s “Icons Off the Runway,” during the tunnel walk. The 24-year-old attended the NYFW kickoff event, which doubled as a masterclass in sporty-chic dressing. Like all things, Chiles brought her individual flair to the aesthetic.

The gymnast made her way to Peak NYC, all the way on the 101st floor of 30 Hudson Yards, to join a fashionable group of athletes, actors, stylists, creators, and more for an evening celebrating style and sport.

Chiles put her best block-heel-clad foot forward in an opulent streetwear-inspired look that she shares was styled by her sister. Up top, she made a classic crisp-white button-down shirt look so fresh by scrunching up the sleeves, messily French tucking one side, and leaving the top buttons undone. Over top, she layered a cropped cream-colored vest with shiny gold buttons. The crème de la crème of her ensemble, however, came via light-wash jeans that featured a high-waisted button fly, ankle-skimming length, straight silhouette, and comic book-style graphics throughout.
Chiles was far from done, adding a chocolate-brown Yankees baseball cap over her perfect luscious black waves. She wore layers of gold bracelets on both wrists, a shiny gold watch, and a pearl choker necklace. Then, of course, were her polished chunky, square-toe black heels.
As for beauty, Chiles brought the glam with bronzy makeup, complete with fluttery eyelashes, black eyeliner, luminous skin, sun-kissed cheeks, glossy lips, and a square French manicure.

She gave InStyle an inside scoop on her style secrets, including her getting-dressed strategy. “I always have to go with my shoe first to make my outfit because I feel like if the shoe is good, because I’m a sneakerhead, then the rest of the outfit comes together,” she reveals, adding that she looks to Beauty and the Beast’s Belle, Megan Thee Stallion, and Naomi Osaka for fashion inspiration. Because, obviously, game recognizes game.
