Most of us love a good Target or Kmart haul, not just for nifty gadgets but for great fashion basics and clothing.
However, leading fashion stylist Mia Elizabeth has called Big W “an underrated gem when it comes to fashion on a budget” and revealed some of her top picks from the retailer for the winter season.

Mia, who has a Bachelor of Design, tells 9honey style the retailer is a great option for all types of clothes, not just basics.
“You can find some really affordable pieces that feel on-trend but are also classic enough to wear again and again,” Mia says.
Luxury feel on a budget
“It’s not just basics, either. I’ve found a few pieces there that honestly look and feel way more expensive than they are.”

One of Mia’s top picks from Big W at the moment is a $25 &me Women’s Jersey Draped Dress in the colour dark brown, which features a sleeveless and high-neck design, with sizes from a 6 to an 18.
It’s also ‘machine washable,’ according to the Big W official website.
She also loves a white &me Women’s Embossed Bag, on sale for $10 at the moment, which is very similar to some of the stylish – but pricey – Bottega Veneta pieces on offer at the moment.
Some classic pieces
Another pick from Mia is a striped black and white button-up cardigan, from &me, which is on sale for $12.
Stripes look trés chic, in our humble opinion.
The top looks like it would go well with black or white trousers, jeans, leggings or a skirt and could be a versatile and timeless piece in your wardrobe.
It’s also perfect for packing on holidays for an easy yet simple look.
“They’ve really lifted their game in terms of style and variety,” Mia says about Big W.
Another top pick of Mia’s is a $25 &me Women’s Satin Slip Skirt, a basic every woman should have in their wardrobe, we reckon.
It looks pretty versatile too, and good for summer or winter.
The viral side-stripe pant
Mia also recommends the $25 Circuit Women’s Wide Leg Studio Pants – with some similar side-stripe pants from Big W previously going viral among shoppers.
One TikTok user said the viral pants are a great buy “for short girlies”.

This version Mia recommends comes in grey and navy and would look trendy with your favourite pair of sneakers.
Mia says the store is one of her favourites for “workwear, activewear, sleepwear, and loungewear”.
